Christmas Movies make me happy. That’s that. Tonight’s daily Christmas movie; Snowglobe. This movie is one of my all-time favourites. It’s about a girl, Angela, who has a crazy family that keeps trying to set her up with guys and invade her personal space, and she wishes she could get away from it all – just for one Christmas. She then gets a snowglobe from an anonymous sender, which transport her inside the snowglobe at night while she sleeps. Then one day the boy she meets in the snowglobe follows her out, and well, let’s just go with – chaos follows. It’s an absolutely hilarious movie that everyone would love. I strongly recommend it.
On a side note, instead of baking I did a bit of a craft yesterday. I made an ice wreath – better than the last one. It’s quite easy to do actually, all you need is a round bundt cake pan, water, and something to decorate it with… I choose cranberries and blueberries, and leafs are a nice touch as well (or lettuce) t0 add a bit of colour.
Put a small amount of water in the bottom of your pan and drop in a few cranberries and blueberries
Add a few leaves/lettuce pieces, and make sure to push them under the water a bit, they'll float back up but some of them will stay slanted slightly. Place in the freezer.
After a few hours (I would say give it at least 4) the ice should be relatively frozen, Add more water, and put more cranberries and blueberries on top (it will create a depth to your wreath so you can see colours from all angles) Add a bit more water to fill it. **If you'd like, you can add a ribbon or string loop at this point, but I prefer leaving it to the end because as it melts a bit the ribbon/string can come loose**
Place the baking pan back in the freezer for a few more hours (I like to leave mine overnight just for the heck of it) When it's completely frozen you can remove it from the bundt pan
If you did not add the ribbon or string previously, tie it around the wreath for you to hang it
Hang your wreath outside (the cold weather should keep it nice and frozen) and enjoy
